Starting in May 2024, a transformative initiative in the Mbinga district of Tanzania is empowering 32 widows from the Inuka Women Group through chicken farming and entrepreneurship training. With the support of WODF donors and board members, these women are building sustainable livelihoods and gaining the skills needed for long-term financial independence.
The impact of their efforts ripples through their families, directly benefiting 192 dependents, many of whom are school-going children or grandchildren. By combining practical training with income-generating opportunities, this project is creating pathways to stability and hope for both the participants and their communities.
