Empowering Widows Through Commercial Goat Rearing in Kondoa, Tanzania

In July 2024, a commercial goat-rearing project took root in Bumbuta Village, Tanzania, bringing new opportunities to 30 widows from the KIWAJABU Widow Group. Supported by the Melania Foundation and WODF board members, this initiative is helping these women build sustainable livelihoods and gain financial independence.

Beyond generating income from selling goats, the project provides additional benefits: families can use organic manure to enrich their farms and enjoy the nutritional value of goat milk. By combining economic empowerment with agricultural sustainability, this initiative is transforming lives and strengthening the community.
