The Stichting Widows and Orphans Development (Widows and Orphans Development
Foundation – WODF) which is non profit (ANBI) organisation was established in
November 2020 in the Netherlands. The primary objective of WODF is to empower
economically the disadvantaged widowed women in Tanzania by providing them with
entreneurship skills and seed funding to enable them start income generating projects as
well as supporting orphans’ education by providing them with the school supplies to help
them build a resilient future. In realising its objectives, the foundation works together
with the Tanzania based organisation namely the Widows and Orphans Development
Foundation (WODF-Tanzania) as its main international partner.
